Session 1-4

The opportunity?

It didn't take long before the opportunity presented itself. High screeches and the sound of buzzing wings filled the cavern. Not wasting any precious time the Motley Crew unlocked the door and left their cell. Once outside they saw what caused the commotion, giant winged creatures battling in the air and the drow of Velkynvelve agitating them. Knowing that the guards had an outpost in the stalactite outside of the prison the Motley Crew assaulted it and the half-orc barbarian Anton tossed one of them out of the small window. Upstairs a variety of gear was found and the crew took a bit of time to get equipped.

Stalactite to stalactite the crew went gathering what they could. In the largest one, with the shrine and the priestesses' quarters, Willy the warrior (who somehow had found a greatsword), found the apprentice priestess and managed to drive her further down into the stalactite where she escaped through an hidden passageway. But the incusion into the shrine stalactite was worth it due to the various items acquired from there. And in the mess hall the crew stocked up on supplies both nurishing and refreshing before they took the now unguarded lift to the cavern floor below.

During the escape two other of the Motley Crew died, Sarith Kzekarit who in a bout of mad amnesia had struck down a brother-in-arms and the orc Ront.

Session 1-5

It's alive!

Regrouping on the floor below the outpost Anton thought a corpse of one of the flying creatures was moving and was stricken with fear. Combining the weak light in the cavern and the exhilarating exhaustion of the escape and it's understandable why the formidable fighter thought the large and terrifying creature was still a threat.

Session 2-1

A choice of Darkness

With Anton calmed dawn it dawned upon you that none really knew where you where, in the Underdark yes, but not where. You also knew you couldn't stay at Velkynvelve as the garrison during your escape was heavily diminished. And there were no signs of Ilvara Mizzryn, the priestess. The only one with any knowledge of Velkynvelve's location in relation to other landmarks and settlements, Sarith, died. That is apart from the Svirfneblin twins Topsy and Turvy who knew the rough direction to their Blidgenstone, the Svirfneblin city in this region. But they advised against that option as Menzoberranzan, the Drow city, lies in between. Shuushar, the Kuo-Toa spiritualist, could take them to his kin at Sloobludop as long as they could find their way to the enormous subterranean waterways known as the Darklake. In the end you chose to follow the advice of the Myconid Stool who offered to bring you to his kin at Neverlight Grove as in Neverlight Grove there exist a fungus whose mycelium stretches far and wide and knows many hidden passages.

Session 5-2

A break

The ledge couldn't keep it's welcoming nature and soon you found yourself at the end of it. But in the dark distance a bit below the current ledge another takes over. Tying Anton with another rope he started the climb down. Despite slipping and dangling a bit he got the the lower ledge securing the rope for the rest. When Willy climbed down he was forced to quickly find a handhold as he slipped and got bit. Looking into the crack Willy found a very sorrowful Imp begging for Willy's forgiveness which Willy wasn't willing to give. Willy grabbed the Imp with him as he climbed down. Once everyone was down Willy turned his attention to the Imp again and got it name, Jim, out of it. He also managed to squeeze out of it that it was hiding from his master after stealing a very pretty gem from it. When all of you were hesitating on whether or not to claim the gem Kerra decided to claim it as hers in front of Willy. As soon as the gem was snatched from the Imp's hand it disappeared with a big grin.

Session 21-1

Onwards

Leaving the crystal along for some strange reason, uneasiness and discomfort around it perhaps, you gathered back at your tent. Going over your supplies you realized you were running very short. So Anton pulled a horse out of one of the pockets of the Robe of useful items which was promptly slaughtered and smoked. One night you rested in the cavern the Jámit Johtalit was visited by the spirits giving her a vision of a Dwarven Ruler stuck on a jagged throne. With no knowledge of Dwarven clanholds still inhabited all you were left to go on were the direction the spirits directed the Jámit Johtalit. As the storm subsided you made ready to set out and you started your final leg over the Border Peaks and then downwards to return to the Lake Forest.

Session 22-4

A new friend

The next day the girl, going by the name of Penny, ambushed Anton outside the inn and quickly became his new "friend" and wanting to know everything about him and his business to Nub. Despite obvious tells she had ulterior motives Anton enjoyed her "company". When the test of the party located Anton, as they started to miss him, they made sure he couldn't spend all of their coin on her and then let him get back to "friendship".

Session 28-2

The Orc issue

Checking up on his kin Anton found they were enslaved by the Giants and had been so for generations. Not used to combat and fighting they still had it int heir blood and as you took care of the other threats in the Steading they assisted with the clean-up. Despite being offered the title of Warchief Anton declined the proposal and instead selected a young fierce orc to become it instead.
